Official High School Federation Rules unless otherwise indicated:
Registration Deadline: April 15th.
Registration Policy: Only payment in full will guarantee a spot. Deposits do not guarantee placement. Refund for team withdrawal: Credit for future use for league or tournament in full amount paid if requested prior to April 1st.
No credit will be issued for requests after April 1.
Refund for full tournament related cancelation: Full refund in the full amount paid. If one or more games completed, no refund will be issued.
Schedule: Official schedules will be posted. Changes cannot be requested. All teams must be available to play
Wednesday/Thursday (local teams only - defined by less then 25% of roster using our hotels) and Friday evening as well as all day Saturday and Sunday. Due to the higher potential of inclement
weather this early in the spring, teams MUST be available throughout the weekend to accomodate
last minute weather related changes. Falure to appear for a scheduled game will result in removal from the tournament and forfeiture of all fees.
Team Warm-up: The infields on each of the fields cannot be used for
warm-ups. The outfield of each field or grass areas around the
fields can be used for playing catch and warming up pitchers only.
For safety reasons, no fielding can occur (batted balls) outside of
the fenced in fields themselves. Hitting baseballs into sock nets or
use of wiffle/pickle/sand balls in non-traffic areas is permitted.
Standings/Game Scores: Standings and game scores will be updated at the completion of each game.
Official Score: The home team will be responsible for keeping
the official score book. Winning team is responsible for reporting
score to tournament officials. Scores will be posted on tournament web site. Teams have 90 minutes from completion of each game to challange any scores reported. After 90 minutes scores will be considered official.
Seeding for Playoffs: Seeding results will be available
online on the website approximately 90 minutes after completion of all seeding games.
Use of electronic devices for the purpose of keeping score will be permitted both on the bench and in the coaches boxes.
Use of electronic bat sensors approved for league play by MLB, Ripken Baseball or the NCAA, for the purpose of player skill development, will be permitted.
9U
60 foot bases - 46 foot pitching.
Bat Requirments - USABat or wood only.
6 inning games. There is no minmum required innings to be official.
Runner may not leave base until ball crosses plate. One dead ball team warning for leaving early. Subsiquent call will result in dead ball and runner being out.
Stealing of all bases, including home, is allowed.
Runner may attempt to advance at thier own risk on any pitch delivered or errant return throw from the catcher to the pitcher or any throw from the catcher to any other defensive player not the pitcher. Any runner not advancing (stealing) at the time the ball is returned to the pitcher can only then steal if that return throw is an errant throw that the pitcher does immediately possess. Standing in place or taunting while off the base is not a form of advancing and will result in dead ball and runner being returned to the base previously occupied.
No dropped third strike or infield fly rule in effect.
Lineup Options:
bat the bench with 100% free substitutions throughout the game.
Choice of batting 9 or 10 batters using an EH. EH is considered a definsive position and can play the field at any time.
Use of a DH for any player in the order is optional. DH sustitution follows the standard NFHS DH rule. Both
DH and EH may be used

10U thru 12U
70 foot bases - 50 foot pitching.
Bat Requirments - BPF 1.15, USABat, BBCOR certified or wood only.
7 inning games. In the event of rain, if home team winning, that is final score. If visiting team winning, score reverts to end of prior inning. There is no minmum required innings to be official.
Balks will be called. 10U/11U/12U division only - 1 dead ball team warning per pitcher.

All Ages
Age as of April 30th of current year. NO EXCEPTIONS. Coaches should have proof of age in their possession in the event tournament officials need to confirm a player age.
NOCSAE high school standard catchers gear and baseballs are not required. One piece catchers helmets are required (no 2 piece skull cap and mask).
Catcher Speed Up Rule (optional): Only
with 2 outs and catcher of record on base; for the teams that are
batting the bench, you may use this option
and must replace your catcher with the player that made
the last out that is on your bench. For teams using the regular
line up option, you
may use this option and must replace the catcher
with a player not currently
in your current batting order.
Intentional Walks: you are not required to
throw the 4 pitches.
Coaches helmets are strongly encouraged, but not required, for all coaches ages 18 and over. Coaches who choose not to wear one do so at their own risk. Full batting helmet is required for all coaches under the age of 18.
Avoiding Contact Rule: Baserunner must attempt to avoid contact at all times. Sliding is one form of avoiding contact. It is the umpires discretion as to whether the contact was avoidable. If it was deemed avoidable, the offending player is out and if deemed excessive, may be ejected from the game.
The mercy rule will be 12 runs after 3 innings,
10 runs after 4 innings
or 8 runs after 5 of play. Mercy rule applies to all games - pool, playoff and consolation.
No pitching restrictions.
Time limit in effect for all games. Round Robin,
consolation game play: No new inning may start after 2 hours.
Inning in progress will be completed unless home team
is winning. Tie games will be considered tie games. No extra innings.
Playoffs: No new inning may start after 2 hours.
Tie games must be played to completion. Once time limit is reached -
to break tie: California tiebreaker. Place last out at
second base. 1 out on batting team. Championship game:
No time limit or tie breaker. Game played to completion. In the event of rain resulting in game termination, if home team winning, that is final score. If visiting team winning, score reverts to end of prior inning. There is no minmum required innings to be official.
Injury re-entry: Where teams are not batting their entire bench, in the event that a player becomes injured or leaves the game for any reason (leaves or is ejected for example),
if no eligible substitutes remain on the bench, the opposing coach will
select a player to re-enter the game from the group of ineligible
substitutes - excluding any ejected players. In the event that no players remain to
enter the game, the game will be considered a forfeit.
In the event that a team is batting the bench and loss of a player is for other than injury (for example a player leaves, fails to appear or is ejected),
an out will be taken in that batting position. If loss is due to injury, spot will be skipped with no penalty.
If a team drops to less than
8 players in the batting order regardless of reason, a forfeit applies. Team no-show (6 players or less) is considered removal from tournament and from any future participation.
If a team is batting the bench and a player arrives who is not in the current batting order, he will be added to the end of the order with no penalty. NOTE: If a team is batting the bench there are no offensive subsitutions allowed. Any late arriving player must be added to the end of the order. Additionally, the late arriving player must be added to the batting order before he can play defensively.
Any player or coach ejected from a game will receive an automatic one game suspension with no opportunity to appeal.
Coaches may not be present or in sight of the field for the remainder of the ejected game or the suspension. Player must serve the suspension on the bench.
Pitching visits: One pitching visit per pitcher per inning.
A second visit in the same inning or a total of 4 to the same
pitcher during the course of the game will disqualify that pitcher
from pitching for the remainder of the game.
Protests: Protests will be handled on field only by contacting a
tournament official thru the scorer tent at each location.
Tournament official ruling will be final with no opportunity for
appeal. No protest can be filed once play has resumed.
Home Team: Home Team will be decided by a coin toss during pool
play. During the consolation and playoff rounds, the higher seed will be the
home team. Where multiple pools are involved it may be possible for
seeds of the same ranking to meet each other in the final playoff
games. If that occurs the seeding tie-breaker below will be use to
determine home team.
Seeding Tie Breaker Rule: For determining seeding for the playoffs
(when teams have played an equal number of games).
Winning percentage is the first tie breaker, followed by number of
wins (ties are considered 1/2 win, 1/2 loss for determining winning
percentage). A 1-1 record is considered a better record than 0-0-2. Be aware, in the event of rain where teams do not play the same numbrer of games, winning percentage is the first timebreaker. 1-0 team is considered the same as 2-0 and the next tiebreaker will apply. Teams will be scored based on the games they actually played.
After winning percentage, if at each step further breakdown is
necessary, head to head will be used whenever it can be applied. It
can only be applied when one team beat all other teams (one or more)
it is currently tie with.
If head to head cannot be applied runs allowed (average per game)
is the next tie breaker. If, at any point after using runs allowed
to determine the first team, head to head can be applied again, head
to head will take precedence.
If runs allowed does not determine a seeding order (due to a tie),
strength of schedule (record of opponents based on seeding) will be used.
If, at any point after using strength of schedule
to determine the first team, head to head can be applied again, head
to head will take precedence.
If strength of schedule does not determine a seeding order (due to a tie),
runs allowed after throwing out the highest runs allowed in any
single game will be used. If, at any point after using runs allowed
to determine the first team, head to head can be applied again, head
to head will take precedence.
If all of the above does not yield a seeding order, a coin toss
involving the teams still tie will be used to determine the final
order. Tournament officials will represent any team not present in
the coin toss.
In the event that pool play games cannot be completed due to
conditions such as weather, seeding rules will be adjusted to
account for unequal number of games. In those situations, teams with
loses will be penalized more than teams who could not play their
games when determining final seeding. If playoff or consolation
games cannot be completed, higher seed will be declared the winner.
